Aboriginal people are people who are the first of their kind to inhabit a region. This most commonly refers to the Aborginal Australians who were the first human species to inhabit the continent of Australia. The Aborigines in Australia were much slower in developing and adapting to advances in agriculture and technology than the other societies of that time. They used stone tools and were still hunting for much of their food when other societies found the use of metal tools and agriculture to be much more productive.
